Frequently Asked Questions
WHEN
IS GREY WOLF LODGE OPEN?
Grey Wolf Lodge is open May through mid-October - call us
anytime of year for reservations and information.
CAN
WE ARRIVE EARLY TO PUT OUR BOAT IN THE WATER?
Because checkout time is 9:00 am and checkin time is 3:00
pm, we only have 6 hours to clean the cabins, clean the boats,
clean grills, mow the lawn and do small repairs. We need this
time to prepare for your arrival. Also, if you are new to
the resort please plan to arrive before 9:00 pm so that we
can show you to your cabin in the daylight.
WHAT
IS PROVIDED WITH THE CABINS?
Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee maker
and toaster. All linens are provided; you need to bring your
own towels and soaps. There is a Weber grill at each cabin.
DO
YOU SELL FISHING LICENSES?
No, Minnesota has a computerized licensing system. Only large
volume vendors sell licenses now. They may be purchased at
bait shops and most C stores in the area. They may also be
purchased via a toll free number from our resort but there
is an extra charge.
DO
YOU SELL LIVE BAIT?
No. Since we don't have a large number of guests at our resort,
it is difficult to keep live bait. Live bait is seldom necessary
on Pelican Lake however, night crawlers are a good all around
bait. They can be purchased at local sport shops. If you have
questions regarding lures and other gear please feel free
to call our toll free number.
DO
I NEED A FISHING GUIDE?
Many of our guests have fished the lake for years and
are also willing to help.
IS
THERE A FIREPIT AT EACH CABIN?
No. There is a central firepit with a beautiful lake view
for evening gatherings. The Getaway and Daybreak cabins have their own firepits because of their distance
from the central area. Firewood
is free.
